About the Author

Jan Nijboer

The Dutchman Jan Nijboer originally worked in the socio-pedagogical field before increasingly dedicating himself to dogs. He has been professionally involved in dog training since 1984. In the Netherlands, he was, among other things, a trainer of service dogs and service dog trainers and a guest lecturer at the University of Groningen. Since 1996, Jan Nijboer has lived in Germany and runs the "International Natural Dogmanship® Center" in Rhineland-Palatinate, where he offers seminars for dog owners and trains dog education consultants. From his many years of experience, he developed the "Natural Dogmanship" training philosophy, an innovative view of dogs. He developed the Preydummy (dog treat bag) and is the founder of the activity form Treibball. Licensed Natural Dogmanship® dog schools exist in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. In addition, Jan Nijboer is an internationally sought-after speaker.
