In Germany, about two percent of the population are affected by a rheumatic disease – in addition, there are about 20,000 children with rheumatic diseases. And they all have one thing in common: their immune system attacks their own body. The consequences are constant inflammation, pain, and limitations in everyday life. The suffering of those affected is often great, and a clear diagnosis often takes a long time to be made. This makes intensive and individual care by specialists all the more important. This book is aimed at those affected and their relatives and competently answers the most important patient questions, for which there is often no time in a "normal" consultation. Concrete assistance, tips, and background information are intended to help those affected to master their everyday life and to live well with their disease.
