In Germany, about two percent of the population are affected by a rheumatic disease – in addition to approximately 20,000 children with rheumatism. And they all have one thing in common: their immune system attacks their own body. The consequences are constant inflammation, pain, and limitations in daily life. The suffering of affected individuals is often great, and a clear diagnosis often takes a long time. This makes intensive and individual care by specialists all the more important. This book is aimed at patients and their relatives and competently answers the most important patient questions, for which there is often no time in a "normal" consultation.
