A nature conservation trend is making waves: #WeedWatch! Rebel botanists roam cities, marking plants in pavement cracks and wall crevices with chalk to raise awareness of these "wallflowers." Anyone can join in, and this identification guide is the perfect companion. The nature guide introduces the most common urban plants. For each plant, there are two illustrations: a photo from its urban habitat and an illustration from "What's blooming there?", thus reality and ideal side by side. The introduction explains why precisely these plants are so important for the city's ecosystem and how plants manage to grow in even the smallest crack and even break through asphalt.
