A botany trend is causing a stir: #WeedWatch! Urban botanists are touring cities and marking plants in pavement cracks and wall crevices with chalk to raise awareness of these "wallflowers." Everyone can participate, and this identification book is the perfect companion. The nature guide introduces the most common urban plants. For each plant, there are two illustrations: a photo from its urban habitat and an illustration from "What's Blooming There?", thus showing reality and ideal side by side. The introduction explains why these often-overlooked plants are so important for the city's ecosystem and how plants manage to grow even in the smallest cracks and defy the difficult living conditions in the city.
