Peter H. Barthel

Peter H. Barthel holds a degree in biology and lives near Göttingen. He edited the journal for field ornithology "Limicola" for 26 years, was head of the German Rarities Committee, has studied almost all the bird species discussed in this book in nature, and has written, translated, and edited many books and articles on bird identification. He is one of Germany's leading ornithologists.
