Marco Sonnleitner

Marco Sonnleitner (born 1965) came to The Three Investigators by a circuitous route. Because he had always enjoyed writing and finally had time during a holiday, in 2000 he conceived the fantasy adventures of the young hero Tom O'Donnell. Six months later, the manuscript was actually finished, and he simply sent it to numerous publishers. While Kosmos-Verlag at the time saw no place in its program for a fantasy novel, they were impressed by Marco Sonnleitner's writing style and asked him if he would like to invent a case for The Three Investigators. The Three Investigators? Something familiar there? Yes, of course, the crime novels of his childhood! Marco Sonnleitner remembered all the exciting hours he had spent with Jupiter, Pete, and Bob as a child on sofas, armchairs, under blankets, and in trees. He quickly read 50 old volumes and wrote his first volume - Panic in the Park, which was published in 2003.
