About the Author

Bettina Sauer

Dr. Bettina Sauer studied pharmacy and science journalism and works as a medical editor in Berlin. She has been very interested in animals since childhood. In 2015, while planning her vacation, she came across the Common Tern Project. She volunteered there for four weeks - a wonderful experience. Her fascination with the birds immediately took hold on the very first day, and so it was not to be her last visit to Wilhelmshaven.
