About the Author

Andreas Gminder

Andreas Gminder has been intensively involved with fungi for over 30 years, in addition to native orchids, and has been a mushroom expert for the German Society for Mycology since 1990. In addition to researching the native fungal world, he is particularly committed to nature conservation. Another research area is the fungal flora of Ethiopia's coffee forests. He has been self-employed as a mycologist since 2004. In addition to surveying in national parks and collaborating on research projects on wood decomposition, his professional focus is on the education and training of laypeople and advanced learners interested in fungi (www.pilzkurs.de).
