Working with dummies (retrieving bags) offers every retriever owner the opportunity to engage their dog in an instinct-appropriate way, even without hunting ambitions.
Particularly popular are so-called working tests.
With the help of dummies, typical situations of a retriever's hunting retrieving work are simulated. The special appeal lies in the fact that the tasks can be freely designed and combined by the judges, taking into account the starting class. Thus, each working test presents the "human-dog team" with new challenges.
- How does a working test work?
- What are the admission and class requirements?
- What awaits dog and handler in the individual classes?
- What do the judges pay special attention to?
- Which "beginner mistakes" should be avoided?
The video provides answers to these and many other questions about "Working Tests."
