Frankincense – our most mysterious incense!
Duration: 2 hours 5 minutes

Frankincense is THE incense among resins! It is one of the oldest and most well-known incense materials, having spread far beyond its countries of origin like Oman or Somalia. Trade routes such as the Incense Road were named after this precious commodity. To possess it thousands of years ago symbolized health, well-being, and... wealth.
Frankincense has lost none of its original fascination. It is either loved or disliked due to unpleasant scent experiences, mostly associated with frankincense in churches. However, this is often of poor quality, frequently dyed and synthetically perfumed, also known as church incense. This brings us to one of the topics that will be covered in the webinar: quality, varieties, and growing regions of frankincense. Differences between varieties, etc.
Frankincense resin is the resin with the strongest transformative power and the highest vibration among all resins. Its application areas are extremely diverse. Besides burning, it has gained significant attention in the medical field in recent decades. I will also touch upon this and briefly mention new studies that have recently been published.
Let yourself be carried away into the incredibly exciting world of frankincense this evening. Together with my husband Jürgen Schmieder, we will also report on our frankincense journey to Oman.
