Stray dogs

Stray dogs are increasingly becoming the focus of scientific research, as studying them helps us to better understand our domestic dogs. Researchers Anindita Bhadra (India), Günther Bloch (Canada), Roberto Bonanni (Italy), Enrique Font (Spain), Martina Lazzaroni (Morocco, Vienna), Sarah Marshal Pescini (Morocco, Vienna) and Andrej Poyarkov (Russia) report here on how socially flexible street dogs organize themselves, what strategies they develop in coexistence with other dogs and humans, and how society deals with them.
