Laura has a wonderful secret: her pony, Star, is actually a unicorn! Together, the two friends experience many magical adventures.

At the mermaid swimming course, Laura and her friends are looking forward to a special day in the water. There they meet Malea, who is very disappointed: although she loves mermaids, they only seem to exist in stories. Malea herself would love to be one. Laura tries to encourage her with imaginative swimming exercises and cheerful games. But Malea's wish remains unfulfilled, and even Star doesn't know what to do.
