Sirga and Valentin. The True Story of an Unusual Friendship

Far out in the Kalahari Desert lives the young conservationist and game warden Valentin Grüner. One day, he discovers a small lion cub, neglected and left all alone. Valentin takes in the young lioness Sirga – and from that moment on, the two travel together through the vastness of the desert. They encounter migrating wildebeest herds, Sirga seeks her place among other lions and learns step by step to find her way in her world. When she falls ill, Valentin stays by her side until she regains her strength.
