Dr. Isabell Marr has been working between science and practice for many years, specializing in horse behavior, communication, and learning behavior. She wrote her doctoral thesis on laterality in horses in connection with horse welfare.

Kate Farmer (MA, Hons) studied psychology in Scotland. When American horse trainer Richard Thompson drew her attention to the differences in horse behavior on the left and right sides, she was fascinated by the topic and began to research it scientifically.
