With matching cards, players move their pawns along the stone paths. The further they go, the more points they earn. As soon as five pawns reach the finish line, the game ends. Therefore, players must always weigh whether to bring a new pawn into play, as they incur minus points if it doesn't get far enough. Those looking for an even greater challenge simply flip the game board and play the "New Paths - New Goals" variant.
