The enthusiastic ethnobotanist Wolf-Dieter Storl tells of his extraordinary life. He studies biology and has a brilliant scientific career ahead of him. But during a secret research project, he realizes that he doesn't want to continue living this way. Storl drops out and exchanges his academic career for a life with nature: He treks with Cheyenne shamans, meditates with Shiva's Sadhus in India, works for Swiss mountain farmers, and is a gardener in an anthroposophical rural commune. Everywhere he meets personalities who show him access to another world - a world revolving around sagas, myths, and the healing powers of plants.
