Does your dog follow you everywhere at home and watch your every move? Does he like to lie in a "vantage point", check the front door, and monitor who approaches the house? Does your dog find it difficult to be alone and can hardly rest?
Dogs that deliberately restrict movement, defend resources, and make independent decisions show controlling behavior – and this can quickly become a problem!
A dog's controlling behavior arises from many different factors such as genetics, previous life and learning experiences, over- or under-stimulation, and many more. The good news is: It is possible to influence these behaviors!
Often, we only recognize behaviors as disruptive when they negatively affect or even impair us. It is very helpful to notice even subtle details in the behavior of dogs with controlling tendencies in everyday life. I will show you how you can influence your dog's controlling behavior with just small changes in your daily life together.
Learn in this webinar:
• why a dog exhibits controlling behavior,
• what "normal" behavior means in everyday life,
• how controlling behavior manifests in everyday life,
• what the most common causes of such behavior are, and
• what you can change in your daily life to achieve more calm & harmony as a team.
