Every life is worth living, and every dog deserves to be cared for and recognized as an individual. But that's not always easy, because every dog has its own history and behaves accordingly. Adopting a dog from an animal shelter can mean enrichment and friendship, but also adventure, trouble, and frustration on both sides. Many known and unknown factors are crucial for a good coexistence. This can be the dog's origin, possible breed components, its upbringing, and its previous owners, if any. What should be considered before deciding on a rescue dog? What should be observed in the first few days after the dog moves in? What problems can arise, how can I prevent them, how do I deal with them? Many answers describe the problems that can arise when living with such a surprise package "dog from animal welfare" and provide assistance and show solutions.
