How does problematic behavior develop – and how can it be specifically changed? This webinar provides the scientific and practical foundations of cognitive behavioral therapy for dogs. It combines psychological theory with practical methods to thoroughly understand, analyze, and therapeutically guide behavior.
From therapy preparation and behavioral analysis to therapy planning, participants will learn how a behavior-therapeutic process is structured. The focus is on the vulnerability-stress model and the bio-psycho-social understanding of illness, which enable a differentiated consideration of causes, triggers, and perpetuating conditions.
The webinar introduces the theoretical foundations of learning, explains the application of operant and classical learning principles, as well as exposure and counterconditioning techniques. Central topics such as psychoeducation, therapy goals, resource work, skills training, and relapse prevention are also presented in a practical manner.
A compact, practice-oriented webinar for owners, trainers, therapists, and professionals who want to understand and specifically change behavior – scientifically sound, practically conveyed.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- How to systematically build the therapeutic process.
- How to specifically assess and analyze behavior.
- How to apply the bio-psycho-social model.
- How to select and plan appropriate therapy methods.
- How to use methods of behavior modification and relapse prevention.
