Detecting and displaying odors

Nose work is a great and species-appropriate form of activity. Dog trainer and expert Matthias Mück shows how dogs can learn to accurately find and indicate a specific scent among numerous distracting scents using a clicker. Many fragrances such as fennel, nuts, or mushrooms are suitable for this. Gradually, the dose is reduced to just a few scent molecules. If trained correctly, the dog can, for example, find truffles or even indicate traces of nuts to an allergy sufferer. Whether young, old, hyperactive, or with a handicap - every dog can learn it, will benefit from it, and will have a lot of fun with their new hobby.
