Motionless, the insect sits on the lampshade. It looks like a giant wasp. Its body is about thirty millimeters long, and a hint of a stinger glints at its rear. Sunlight reflects in its compound eyes. Mrs. Hazelwood's senses are failing... Old Mrs. Hazelwood has a panic-inducing fear of insects. When her housekeeper falls victim to a hornet attack, she loses it. The Three Investigators provide first aid and stumble upon some strange things. Now they must act quickly before the insects attack again...
