The 14-year-old Tess moves with her parents to the countryside, into her deceased grandmother's house. Without her friends, Tess feels very lonely until she meets the mysterious Tom and his horse, Stern. Slowly, all three begin to trust each other, and Tom even teaches Tess how to ride. But the more time they spend together, the clearer it becomes that Tom is hiding a big secret. Tess realizes: she must uncover this secret, no matter the cost...
