It often happens that your dog is walking calmly beside you, you're enjoying the fresh morning air and the first rays of sun, but suddenly a switch flips in your dog, he seems electrified, is no longer responsive, and in the next moment, he's already disappeared into the undergrowth.
What exactly flipped that switch just now? You didn't see anything, didn't hear anything... again you're standing alone with your leash at the edge of the forest and asking yourself, as so often before: "Why does this always happen?"
Some reactions of your dog may seem trivial to you on a walk, but usually there's much more behind them. What do a nose held high in the air, ear play, or a raised front paw of the dog reveal?
We will also take a very close look in the forest. What do broken branches, trampled grass, tracks in the mud, and hairs caught in barbed wire tell us? Who else lives in our forests and where is the probability high of encountering the forest dwellers?
What topics will the webinar cover in detail?
- You are probably already familiar with the facts about your dog's senses. Therefore, let's approach this topic from a practical side. Let's look together at how you can make the senses tangible. Smelling, seeing, hearing, and feeling...
- Our dogs are true storytellers when we are out and about together. If we learn to listen carefully to them, we often find the moment when their story becomes special and can still steer the story before it escalates.
- Of course, there will also be a little "hunter's tale" for you. Let's explore the forest and see which forest dwellers actually live here and how you can recognize where they live.
You will see that after this webinar, you will have developed a completely different understanding of your dog and will walk through the forest with different eyes. You will already be able to recognize one or the other behavior of your dog and know how to deal with it.
Accreditation as further training:
The webinar is recognized by the veterinary chambers of Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony with 1.5 hours as further training; our certificate of attendance must be submitted for this. https://www.kosmos.de/teilnahmebestaetigung
