With this taster course, children aged 9 to 13 will learn the most important basic chemical concepts such as solutions, mixtures, elements, and compounds in their own lab, and practice handling their first lab equipment correctly. They will quickly discover how to dispense liquids with a pipette, what Petri dishes are needed for, and how to safely and skillfully use the four included chemicals.

The young researchers will observe the formation of carbon dioxide, detect acids and bases with indicator solution, investigate what soap and shower gel are all about, and even perform simple electrochemical experiments. Everything is explained step-by-step and in an age-appropriate manner in the KOSMOS experiment kit's instruction booklet. The ideal introduction to gaining first experiences in the exciting MINT science of chemistry.
