With the supplementary card sets, the gaming experience for CATAN can be optimized! If a new version of CATAN – The Game, CATAN – The Game – 5-6 Player Extension, and CATAN – Cities & Knights – Extension from 2025 is combined with an older version of CATAN – Cities & Knights – 5-6 Player Expansion, design differences on the card backsides can lead to advantages in the game. However, these differences have no impact on the actual gameplay. The card sets offer the ideal solution to ensure the compatibility of these two versions. Each set contains 18 commodity cards from the newest version of CATAN – Cities & Knights – 5-6 Player Expansion (2025). This allows an old version to be easily combined with a new expansion for a smooth gaming experience.
