The Compatibility Kit (2025) ensures compatibility between the first version of CATAN – The Game from 1995, which includes wooden pieces, and expansions to CATAN – The Game released after 2003. The Compatibility Kit includes the following game materials with illustrations from 2025: eight frame pieces from CATAN – The Game and CATAN – The Game – 5-6 Player Expansion, 150 cards, and instructions, as well as three wooden metropolises from the old Cities & Knights expansion.
