As a dog owner, you often feel quite alone with a diagnosis of "osteoarthritis". This webinar is designed to support you as the owner of a dog with osteoarthritis and show you what life has in store for you and your dog, despite such a (currently still) "incurable" musculoskeletal disease, and what you can do to keep your dog fit, happy, pain-free and active for as long as possible.
In the webinar, you will get answers to the most important questions:\n
- Overview of degenerative joint diseases
- What does an osteoarthritis diagnosis mean for you and your dog?
- What happens next?
- Multimodal therapy options
- Adapting life and the home environment
- How do you stay active?
Our speaker
Dr. Romina Pankow initially specialized in neurology and orthopedics as a veterinarian, and for several years now has dedicated herself fully to rehabilitation and sports medicine in horses and dogs in her own practice. She treats patients with osteoarthritis and degenerative musculoskeletal diseases every day. These patients require particularly good management to remain pain-free and active. However, pet owners often feel quite alone with the diagnosis, which means that osteoarthritis is often not optimally treated. True to her motto "Knowledge helps!", Dr. Pankow is particularly committed to educating pet owners and helping them and their animals.
Recognition as continuing education:
The webinar is recognized by the Veterinary Chambers of Schleswig-Holstein and Lower Saxony as 1.5 hours of continuing education; our certificate of attendance must be submitted for this. https://www.kosmos.de/teilnahmebestaetigung
