Phase of Work: Getting work right

We will discuss the typical problems that can arise in this work phase and present possible solutions. Here we address the problems and what can be done individually to improve performance. Small changes with big effects. More is not always better. The analysis aims to find out where improvements are needed:

• in the type of trail,
• its content, such as difficulties, starting approach, the handler's handling technique, etc.
• Tricks and tips for quick success.

This is also about staying engaged, not giving up, and enduring a long straight path.

Alexandra Grunow is the founder and CEO of the K-9 Search Dog Center. For several years, she has been volunteering with the rescue dog squad "Mantrailer & Rettungshunde Starnberg e.V".
