Animal shelters are at their limit! Many complain about an excessive number of dogs that are difficult or impossible to rehome due to problematic behavior. Dogs that were once kept as family pets, attended dog training schools, and yet were involved in serious biting incidents, pose major challenges for animal shelters and owners.
But how does it happen that some dogs exhibit behavioral problems? The causes are diverse and often complex. Lack of socialization, traumatic experiences, inconsistent training, or genetic predispositions can be factors that lead to problematic behaviors. In this webinar, Vanessa Bokr provides the necessary knowledge and skills to understand, correctly assess, and appropriately manage dogs with behavioral problems.
Who is this webinar for? This webinar is aimed at anyone who is confronted with dogs with behavioral problems in their daily lives. With this webinar, you will not only receive valuable information and recommendations for action but also the necessary self-confidence to manage dogs with behavioral problems safely and competently. Whether you work in an animal shelter or own a dog with behavioral problems – this webinar offers you the support you need.
Learn in this webinar:
• how behavioral problems can manifest in dogs,
• what the causes of behavioral problems are,
• how to correctly assess a dog that has developed behavioral problems,
• what measures need to be taken to protect yourself and your environment,
• practical tips and strategies for safe management of dogs with behavioral problems in everyday life,
• whether disruptive behavior can be "cured" and
• whether such dogs can be rehomed and, if so, under what criteria.
Our Expert:
In 2015, Vanessa Bokr founded the Hellhound Foundation gUG (haftungsbeschränkt). An animal shelter that is often the last resort before euthanasia for excessively aggressive and problematic dogs. She has been living and working with difficult dogs for 20 years now. Since 2011, she has also been a graduate of Canis and certified by the German Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons. Between training, webinars and seminars, and working with these dogs, she regularly gives interviews for well-known TV and online formats and creates awareness and understanding for these dogs through her public relations work.
