About the Author

Ralf-Wigand Usbeck

RALF-WIGAND USBECK grew up with chickens, as his father ran a chicken farm as a sideline. He rediscovered his love for poultry after moving to the countryside. There, he was able to fulfill his long-cherished wish of keeping his own chickens. Since 2016, he has been renting out chickens to families and institutions such as kindergartens, schools, and nursing homes, to share the joy he experiences when interacting with the animals with other people. In this context, he also offers consulting services to prospective chicken keepers and gives lectures on the topic. He pours all his passion and expertise into these activities.
