About the Author
Nicole Jüngling
Out and about – this has been Nicole Jüngling's motto since early childhood. She discovered her love of birds during a one-year stay at the Helgoland Bird Observatory. Following this, the biologist with a doctorate worked for many years as a seabird researcher in the North and Baltic Seas before moving to Upper Swabia in 2012. Here she works as a nature educator and protected area supervisor at the Wurzacher Ried Nature Conservation Center. She also trains nature educators and is a volunteer leader of a NABU children's group. This allows her to share her knowledge and fascination for nature with many people and to raise their awareness of the necessity of nature conservation – a matter close to the author's heart.
