About the Author

Michael Petrak

Wildlife biologist and hunting scientist Dr. Michael Petrak has been engaged with native nature and local wildlife since his biology studies. As head of the Research Center for Hunting Science and Wildlife Damage Prevention in North Rhine-Westphalia, the scientist intensively researched the interrelationships between wildlife, habitats, and humans and developed collaborative solutions to balance the interests of agriculture and forestry, hunting, and tourism. He shares his knowledge in seminars, specialist articles, and books, as well as in the training and further education of game wardens and professional hunters.
