About the Author

Marek Rohde

Marek Rohde is a journalist and media activist. Together with his wife, Ilona Koglin, he runs the editorial office Whoopee Connections. They advise companies, social startups, and online editorial teams on their online communication and editorial content. The couple lives in Hamburg. Their strength lies in communicating ideas sustainably. The two idealists have long been involved with topics such as eco-social change, post-growth, collective intelligence, and sustainability. They founded their blog "For a Better World" ten years ago. Meanwhile, they are invited as speakers to conferences, give lectures, and lead workshops. "When I was a little boy, I constantly walked around with a pencil in my hand, asking the people around me endless questions. That's how I imagined a reporter: like a detective with a notepad. After doing this job for 16 years and it having very little to do with my dream, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I finally wanted to fight injustice in the world – just like my heroes from back then. And my work for the project 'For a Better World' is an important part of that.
