About the Author

Kerstin Mayer

Today I am a Sustainability Coach, but I was an "eco-auntie" even as a child, collecting rubbish and signatures against whaling. After studying architecture and urban planning, I was absolutely certain: if architecture, then sustainable! I additionally qualified as a business coach and furthered my education in building biology and permaculture. I passionately enjoy working individually with people and collaboratively developing tailored solutions for them – and doing so as ecologically as possible. In 2016, I launched my Sustainability Laboratory, initially as a blog. In 2018, I turned my passion for sustainable living into my profession. And because my dream job as a Sustainability Coach for ecological building and healthy living didn't exist before, I invented it.
I am a mother of two daughters, aged 12 and 4, and live with my family in Stuttgart.
My motto: The world we can best change is our own. Pushing its boundaries and shaping it courageously. That's what will make us, as a grandmother or grandfather in an armchair, look back happily on our lives.
