About the Author

Kari Erlhoff

Kari Erlhoff's first encounter with the Three Investigators was anything but positive. At the time, she was almost seven years old and bravely covered her ears while a classmate played a particularly scary episode of the series on a cassette recorder. But just one year later, the author met Justus, Peter, and Bob again. This time in a small bookstore by the sea. "The Three Investigators and the Mysterious Inheritance" captivated her so much that from then on, she read every episode from Rocky Beach. It also became clear to the elementary school student that she wanted to become an author someday. And so it happened... albeit with some detours – including a press traineeship at a comic book publisher. Since 2008, Kari Erlhoff has been supporting the ??? team as well as the !!! team at Kosmos and works full-time as an author for children's and young adult books. She lives and works in Schleswig-Holstein, likes spaghetti with tomato sauce, and owns an old dog who considers the desk his doghouse.
