Johannes Weber

Johannes Weber developed the BienenBox, which makes it possible to keep bees even in the smallest urban spaces, thus promoting honeybees. He founded Stadtbienen gGmbH, a beekeeping network in 25 cities, based in Berlin. Stadtbienen offers special projects to schools (www.stadtbienen.org/bienen-an-schulen/), promotes cultural exchange at the beehive with "Gemeinsam Imkern" (Beekeeping Together) (www.stadtbienen.org/bienenprojekt-gemeinsam-imkern/), and cares for bee colonies at corporate locations. They have also developed a box for wild bees to protect them.
