About the Author

Carola Otterstedt

Dr. phil. Carola Otterstedt is a humanities scholar and behavioral researcher specializing in communication and animal-assisted interventions, and a consultant at BeratungsTEAM Mensch & Tier. For over 20 years, she has been involved in providing care for the sick and terminally ill, embracing the hospice philosophy. She lectures in the part-time advanced training program "Animal-Assisted Pedagogy/Therapy" at the Institute for Social Learning with Animals in Wedemark near Hanover.
