About the Author

Axel Gomille

Axel Gomille is a biologist and photographer. He studied zoology in Frankfurt and Florida and works as an editor and author for ZDF, specializing in nature and wildlife. His work as a photographer and filmmaker has taken him to many of the most beautiful nature reserves on Earth. He is particularly interested in how humans and wild animals can coexist in the 21st century, as wild animals are his great passion. His photo reports have appeared in international magazines, and he has received several awards for his photos and TV documentaries. He has published eight books to date. Following his bestseller "Germany's Wild Wolves," his new work "Wolves - On the Road with Wildlife Photographer Axel Gomille" specifically targets children and young people. For many years, he has repeatedly observed wild wolves in Germany.
