Andreas Ohligschläger

Our author Andreas Ohligschläger is a regular guest on the show "Tiere suchen ein Zuhause" (Animals Looking for a Home) and has had his own TV show "Hunde verstehen" (Understanding Dogs) on WDR since 2019. Since 2007, he has run "Revier für Hunde" (Territory for Dogs), one of Germany's largest dog daycares. His motto, "We can learn from dogs to be more human," expresses the core idea of his work with dogs and their owners: more mutual understanding for a respectful coexistence.
Andreas Ohligschläger is also involved in animal welfare projects both in Germany and abroad, assisting with the rehabilitation and rehoming of rescue dogs. The association "In the name of dogs e.V.," which he co-founded, supports projects aimed at long-term reduction of animal suffering.
