About the Author

Thomas Carow

Thomas Carow has been fascinated by insectivorous plants since childhood. During his studies, the graduate horticultural engineer shot his first research films about carnivorous plants. In 1984, he founded the Society for Carnivorous Plants (G.F.P) with friends and turned his passion into a profession with a specialized nursery for carnivorous plants. Here, he offers one of the largest selections of carnivorous plants in Europe, supplies specialist markets nationwide, and operates a worldwide rarity mail-order service. The fascination with carnivorous plants has taken Thomas Carow around the world, leading to the discovery and description of several species with friends and colleagues. Many new findings from his research trips have been published for the first time.
