About the Author

Simone Rose

Born in 1985, Simone grew up amidst rural life on the outskirts of Bielefeld, surrounded by forests and fields. Today, she lives with her family on a 200-year-old half-timbered farm in the heart of the Wiehen Hills. She initially pursued her love for animals, nature, and children by studying to become a teacher of biology and pedagogy. However, drawing was her lifelong passion, and she continuously developed her skills in this area in parallel. Finally, in 2020, she became a self-employed children's book illustrator. She draws inspiration from her vibrant life with three children, llamas, alpacas, and other animals on her farm, in her wild garden, and in nature.
To balance her work, she practices yoga and Kung Fu, or plays the guitar and sings.
