About the Author

Regine Frerichs

Regine Frerichs was born in Hamburg in June 1960. While studying geology and paleontology, she trained as a research diver and subsequently worked as a diver. Together with colleagues, she founded a professional journal for commercial divers and served as its editor-in-chief for two years. During this time, she contacted Greenpeace in Hamburg and became a volunteer in the diving group. Since August 2000, Regine Frerichs has been employed by Greenpeace in the actions department, responsible for training rigid inflatable boat drivers. Since 2003, she has been part of Greenpeace's international boat driver trainer team.
