Photo: Gabriele BoiselleAt an age when most children are still sound asleep in their cribs, Magali Delgado attended riding lessons with her parents. She soon joined a group of artists as a bareback rider on her small black pony Chiquito. Then she started vaulting and trained her endurance. But dressage proved to be her passion. Under the watchful eyes of her parents, she trained with the horses on their family farm. Magali received further training in Portugal from master riders such as Jose Ataide and Carlos Pinto and became a certified riding instructor herself. Today she rides at Grand Prix level and is the wife of Frédéric Pignon and co-founder of Cavalia, the large globally operating equestrian theater with breathtaking liberty dressage performances. Since 2014, the Pignons have had their own show again - "EQI" at Lac de Monteux in France.
