Jürgen Kanzler

Jürgen Kanzler is a successful author of various golf books. Born in 1964 and professionally involved in golf since 1988, he lives south of Munich in the "Blaues Land" (Blue Land), a charming area of the Upper Bavarian Alpine foothills. He owns a golf travel agency specializing in group golf tours and golf tournament trips. Additionally, he works as an editor for GOLF JOURNAL in Munich, contributing to various special editions on golf tourism.He has been involved with the Rules of Golf since 1996 and has repeatedly observed that most "rule experts" in golf clubs, due to their extensive knowledge of golf regulations, are reluctant or unsure about explaining them outside of official texts in a way that a recreational golfer can understand and apply in practice. "The rules are not there to punish a player – whoever knows the rules and their application can often interpret them to their advantage," says Jürgen Kanzler. "And for this reason, I wrote my rule books. Every golfer should be given ideas and suggestions on how to use the rules to their benefit – in a rules-compliant way, of course."
