About the Author

Hermann-Josef Weidinger

Herman Josef Weidinger (1918–2004) grew up as a farmer's child in the Austrian Waldviertel, worked as a missionary in China, as a pastoral worker, and as a "herbal priest." Through his lectures and books, he conveyed a love for nature and revealed deep knowledge of medicinal plants. Trees were important companions to him throughout his life.
