About the Author

Elisabeth Schmid

Elisabeth Schmid wrote her diploma thesis on the challenging genus Ligularia, and has been considered a perennial expert ever since. Her expertise is based on an apprenticeship at a perennial nursery in Stuttgart, as well as internships and work placements in England, the Netherlands, and at the Pretoria Botanical Garden in South Africa. From 1992 to 1995, she held teaching positions at Weihenstephan University of Applied Sciences, and from 1991 onwards in Nürtingen.
