When researching the causes, the relationship between dogs and owners is often discussed. What is the truth behind this?
Good attachment experiences are the foundation for healthy relational behavior, in which adult social partners can mutually support each other in stress and emotion regulation. This connection is modulated by epigenetic and neurobiological factors even before birth and throughout development, and stored through neural changes.
First, we will therefore deepen our understanding of the neurobiological and epigenetic foundations of attachment and relationship development. Building on this, we will examine the connection between attachment and stress regulation to understand the mechanisms through which behavioral disorders can develop from unfavorable attachment experiences (e.g., anxious, compulsive, aggressive, restless, or impulsive behavior).
The last part of the webinar will focus on finding relief and a more pleasant relationship design for both sides within the existing possibilities.

Our Speaker
Robert Mehl is a qualified psychologist and criminologist (M.A.) with additional therapeutic training as a "Systemic Counselor and Family Therapist" (DGSF) and for the "Professional Use of Dogs in Therapy" (dogument).
